April 26th was a BLAST at Good Shepherd! A BLAST of COLOR, that is!! We celebrated the
start of spring with our Annual Color-a-Thon Fundraiser, where more than 220 people, including
Pre-K3- through 8th-grade students, staff, and parent volunteers gathered in the school field. The
weather was beautiful, and the event was a huge success.
The Good Shepherd students did an amazing job and raised over $9,000 for our school, through
donations from family, friends, and neighbors. These funds will be used for classroom improvements, scholarships, and school technology.
We would like to recognize our top fundraisers: Anthony (Grade 5) is the top student fundraiser and received a Family Fun Pack (movie passes, gift certificates for dinner, and ice
cream). We want to thank Cinema World-Lincoln and Ms. Shanna Murray of Chevy’s Ice Cream in Bellingham, for their donations!
The top fundraising classroom was Mrs. Berard's Grade 3 class. This hardworking class will get a dress-down day and an ice cream sundae party on a date to be determined. Additionally, Ms. Jimenez's Grade 5 classroom is the top Upper-Grades homeroom and will get a pizza party.
Anthony and other top 5th-grade fundraisers will have the opportunity to "SOAK THE PRINCIPAL" during our Field Day activities at the end of the school year!
We would like to extend a huge shout-out and thank you to all our fantastic parent volunteers for their time and energy in making this event so successful! We could not have done it without you all and appreciate every single one of you!
We also want to thank our generous sponsors for their donated items and ads: Antojitos Taqueria, Blackstone Quilting Co., Cinema World, Chevy’s Ice Cream, Desautels Roofing, Kays, Northeast Orthodontic Specialists, and Price Rite Markets.
