Mrs. Cabana, Mrs. Swartz along with ten other chaperones accompanied 28 of our 7th and 8th graders to New York City from May 12th - 14th.
We started the trip at The Top of the Rock, enjoyed lunch at Rockefeller Center, toured St. Patrick's Cathedral, walked the High Line, visited Chelsea Market and dinner. That was just day 1!
On day #2 we enjoyed a beautiful walking tour of Central Park, visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art, shopped along Fifth Avenue and Rockefeller Center, walked through Times Square, had an early dinner and then saw Alladin at the New Amsterdam Theater!
On Day 3 we took the ferry from Liberty Park in NJ to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. When we got off at Battery Park, we walked to Zucotti Park for lunch, then it was off to the 911 Memorial After that very special time at the Memorial, we ended our trip with a quick shopping trip in Chinatown and Little Italy!
A fun time was had by all, it was very educational in so many ways. Some fell in love with Broadway, others the MET, others just loved taking in the sights and sounds of the city!
Kudos to WorldStrides, our tour company. They provided a well-planned trip and their personnel that worked with us in New York were top notch. We highly recommend WorldStrides!
